The Single Asymmetrical Relay, RUA-01, is a universal control that incorporates a new operating philosophy in the system. The equipment is capable of controlling up to three single-phase voltage regulators in the bank and performing the synchronization function. By combining these functions, the RUA-01 control is able to minimize voltage imbalances in the network and guarantee quality levels during the supply of electrical energy. Furthermore, the RUA-01 control allows for the automation of single-phase voltage regulator banks through remote communication systems, facilitating their operation. The RUA-01 control has an optional uninterruptible power supply (UPS) module. When a power outage occurs, the regulators are usually at high taps; upon restoration of the network, the equipment suffers from overvoltage, and the use of cascaded regulators exacerbates this problem. The UPS system allows the control to reset the regulator bank during this event, preventing overvoltages and enabling the use of cascaded regulators.
